I recently detected a foul odor and taste in water at the kitchen sink. I went through the usual chlorinating procedure with Clorox in the water tank, being sure to run each faucet until the heavy chlorine smell came through. I let it set for 4-5 days, then drained and flushed the tank and lines. The problem is that the kitchen faucet still had the foul ( sulfur ) odor until I ran it for awhile.
The lavatory, shower and outside faucet did not have the odor which would seem to indicate a problem in the kitchen faucet line itself.
The faucet is the type with a flexible hose which can be pulled out and which hangs underneath the sink when not in use, thereby forming a trap.
I am tempted to pour bleach into the flexible hose and let it soak for awhile, but I don't know if the plastic can stand it. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so how did you address it?

Did you check the water filter? It may have to be changed.

No, it's definitely not the water filter. I change it regularly---also, the problem is only coming from the kitchen faucet.

If my coach has a seperate in-line filter for the galley faucet, I haven't found it.

Walt, what year and model CC do you have, and have you asked Country Coach Tech support where it is? If you used a closing like below it would help respond to your plaintive cry from those with similar coaches.
On the 01 Intrigues it is in the same compartment with the water pump and access is acquired in the bay forward of the water bay.

Ron and Molly, I know where the water filter is located and change it regularly. I was responding to a suggestion that I change the in-line filter on the galley faucet which I don't have. I have had that extra filter on a couple of previous coaches, but not on a CC. Also, I always sign off with my coach year, model and CC s/n.
