we have a 7kw power tech in our 1996 cc intrigue. I installed 2" thick rubber on the bare metal top of the gen compartment(floor of coach) and mounted the entire gen plate on rubber. Moved the ground cable to the steel floor under gen plate. Has anyone done anything else that helped reduce noise?

I placed four rubber mounts between the genset and the frame. It reduced the vibration significantly. But, noise recution was minimal. You need special enclosure material with some lead lining in it to reduce noise. Take a look at the PT 8.8 to get an idea.
A friend of mine and I have experimented with this and it definateley helps. Haven't come up with a final design. noise reduction requires material with higher density as well as the absorption material.
