I would like to sell my coach through a dealer (on consignment) but I found out if a coach is being sold on consignment thier is no insurance coverage. I inquired at every insurance booth at FMCA rally in OR. each insurance agent confirmed no coverage when coach is for sale on consingment. Anyone solved this problem? I have talked with many RV dealers they tell me i must keep my present insurance (one dealer told me to lie and say the coach was only in for service??)

Bill: After 20 (some odd) years in the insurance business, primarily Property and Casualty, I can add my vote to the other agents: Basic policies contain an exclusion to the "car business". The only way to go is keep it covered. The risk is too great me thinks.
