I have experienced peeling of the chrome plating on one of my mirrors which started at the set screw on the pivot point of the mirror head.
I contacted Velvac and was pleasantly surprised that they are shipping a new mirror at no expense to me. Initially they said the warranty period was two years and my coach is 2.5 years old, but they decided to work with me anyway. Wouldn't it be nice if all vendors had this attitude?

We had the same problem with our mirrors on our 01 Mag. I believe our problem came from the ocean air at our home. Velvac replaced the arm but the labor was on us, about 2 hour to replace. When you do the replacement make sure you do not reverse the turn signal light wires. When these are reversed (easy to do) the signal light will not work.
