Bill,
Do 3 slides, 2 in the bedroom and one in the living area. Thats what we did and we love it. Your get more storage then you need inside, a nice queen size hide a bed with air mattress, bigger counters, and a nicer traveling arrangement. Don't feel closed in when driving. And you can get to the passenger storage outside much easier. We have the only 40 foot 3 slide CC built this year till the Class Reunion. After people saw ours, there were several others ordered. The only thing you lose it 12 inches of dancing room, and you save a few bucks.
As for the windshield, all the single piece windshields are expensive to replace but I think they are worth it. After driving this new Mag I love the size of the view. Other coach manufacturers have had one piece windshields for 5 years. No dealer likes replacing these windshields. They are a pain in the butt. Besides, in most cases the insurance company pays for the replacement.
