I bought a small bottle @ Redmond FMCA rally at PacBrake Booth for $5. And all of my friends got a FREE bottles being handed out at the Freightliner Chassis Display Booth. So, if appears the Best method to lub the PacBrake is thru the Multi-Bolted on Panel under the Bed on Non-Bedroom Slide models of CC's??? I had called Pakbrake a while ago and they said to just go to Lowes and get the "Dry Silicone Spray" and use that.

Good Idea, Now if it only comes with a Long Tube Nozzle Extension to Direct the Spray to the appropirate places without having to remove the Engine Cover under the Bed. I called PacBrake today & was told to go to either Lowe's or Home Depot & get high temperature synthetic lube. He said one brand is made by Simco & called Super Lube.
Seems to be a different reply depending on who you speak with. I spoke with Cummins in my area & they said to use a teflon spray or WD-40.
Still confused........

I use the Super Lube spray from Lowes. It is a high temperature dry lube. Works great. You can find it in the tool section. I use it once a year while doing some other maintenance.

Who makes the Super Lube you purchased? I just read a magazine article where PacBrake recommended Super Lube spray by Permatex Corp.

It is produced by Synco Chemical. The Permatex is hard to find and what is available is often a liquid with a lower temperature range.
The Synco product has a temperature range of -40F to +500F and dries to a film in less than 10 seconds. The friction cofficient is low as well. Works great on wooden drawer slides and other applications where you do not want the oil or grease to trap dirt. I find that lubing the PacBrake once a year works for me. I drive 12-15,000 miles a year and use the PacBrake allot. So far no problems.

Bottom line....you MUST lift that god-awfully heavy bed to get to the pacbrake? (((That horrid sound you hear is Carol cursing as she tries to lift the thing!!))) LOL
