Group,

I had been using my new American Eagle for a taxie for 6 months, after buying a house on Lake Huron in Northern Michigan, my wife lost all interest in extended traveling in the Eagle. We would go to the Lake House for 10 days each month and the Eagle became the taxie to get us there with a overnight each way at a Michigan Casino. This was not the way i wanted to use the Eagle (a real nice driving and great riding three side coach). I gave the wife a choice, take some real trips or i would tade the Eagle, she was against trips to anywhere but the Lake House so when the Carver dealer made me a offer i could not refuse i traded. The boat is 46'-9" long 13'-11" wide, has two baths and two state rooms (bedrooms), sleeps 6 and weights 35000 pounds, other words a two bed room motorhome that floats. With the boat next year i plan on taking trips into the North Channel and Georgian Bay with side trips to Door County, Mackinaw, Island, and many ports on Lak Huron. Being a RVer i have loaded the boat with goodies, they include in motion KVH, 4 tvs, 3 DVD's Radar, forward facing Sonar, Chart plotter, auto pilot, fish finder, ice maker, central vac, backup camera, 2 Sirus radio's, FirstMate (like OnStar for boats) and a bunch more silly stuff including and not limited to a inverter and additional battery bank system (2) 370 hp Volvo Diesels and a 10K Kohler Diesel genny. We (I) plan on boon docking (reason for inverter)in the North channel.
For those who might wonder it seems like you get a lot more for your money when you buy a boat. I will keep reading the post on the RV web sites, but for now my Bus is a Boat.
Thanks for all the great support over the past years.
