To help pass emission regulations, the newer diesels are running much hotter.........Engines built after October 02 were required to pass stricter emission standards and each year they are getting more intense.....

This also causes the trans to run hotter. That is why late 02 coaches came standard with Transynd fluid in the transmission.
Country Coach also has an issue with their older coaches without cooling louvers in their engine access doors. That is why the newer coaches have venting in their rear engine access doors.................

John:

Perhaps all very late '04 CC come with Transynd, but I've bought two new early '04' Intrigues and neither one came with the synthetic.

I picked up my 2004 Intrigue at the home coming rally in Sept. 2003 and had to have the transynd added after delivery. TWI 11731.
