Just returned home with our 04 Allure 40' High Cascade, what a difference in handling from our 02 36' Allure! Always had to stay focused on the 36', making little corrections in the steering, but the 40'is rock solid and straight. Bag height, tires, etc. were dead on with the 36', it just kept you busy.

The rear slide is creeping out about 1 inch after a few hundred miles, has anyone had this problem and what was the fix? I can call HWH, but wanted some feed back from the group before I start making phone calls.

When do most of you raise the tax axle? I assume only during tight turns on pavement since is has a tentency to drag the tire. I'm in the big truck business, but haven't had a tax axle in 35 years and back then it didn't lift when the bag was deflated. For any of you mature ex-truckers, it was an H-Model Mack with a tri-plex.

Hydro-Hot, what a great system, hope it doesn't break!

Tom,

You probably have a bad solenoid. I have had two replaced, one when the front slide was creeping out, and one when the rear slide was creeping in.

They are located in the front left bay under the driver.
I lift the tag whenever I am in parking lots, or making sharp turns at slow speeds, coach turns sharper, and reduces tire wear.

-Tom,

First try putting slide out and staying on the switch until you hear the check valve release on the pump (approx 3 to 4 seconds). Now bring slide in and do the same. If slide continues to creep, call HWH, you've got a bad solenoid or a bad check valve.
