A few months back, I was reading a magazine that had an for Slamp Motorcoaches in it. The RV appeared to have an articulating chassis. The closest thing for an example would be a long city bus. About 30-35ft from the front of the bus is an accordian-type rubber(?) seal. At this piont is the pivot for the reaming 15-20ft of bus and another set of tires. This makes the bus very long, but the articulation in the rear makes it maneuverable in city streets. There were also interior pictures that looked remarkable. I found a link to the Slamp site from an individuals site, who evidently had actually gotten access to the Slamp site.
However, I've never been able to gain access, and I'm thinking this coach is 'vapor ware', rather than a real thing.
Has anyone ever seen one of these coaches? Is it real?
Thanx,
Martin and Shirley

I've never heard of Slamp Motors or the coach you describe. However, city buses are popular among the so-called "bus nuts"-groups whose members buy old buses and convert them into motorhomes. Maybe the ad was about such a conversion.
However, registering and insuring it would be a challenge because of its total length and application.

Jeff

If you get one of those "articulating" busses for a motorhome ... where do you think you'll be able to part it? I dont recall but only a very few campgrounds that could handle such a long rig anywhere on their grounds!

Backing up must always be challenging - even if you find a campground that can accommodate your rig.
