I am looking at two 2004 coaches.

One has 370 the other 400 8.9 Cummins.

Anyone with experience with both to make a recommendation?

Coaches are identical in everyway except HP.

Thanks

Dick, I have the370hp in my 03 Allure 40' w/tag. It is very adequate for that coach. I have looked at the specs for 370 vs 400 and found the maximum torque is identical at the same rpms ( I think about 1400rpm). I guess that means you have a little more torque at the upper end of rpms on the 400 hp. I don't know what your previous experience is, but I saw a major performance improvement with the 370 8.9L engine over a 350 8.3L in a 2000 Intrigue I owned. If I remember right the CC upcharge for the 400 vs. the 370 is $7,000 or $8,000, and I don't see it.
