The plastic chrome coating on the base plates of my velux mirrors are coming off. I did call the company and they want almost $200.00 each to replace. Seems a bit steep. Does anyone no of a better way or supplier to replace or fix.

Tom,
Try Northwest RV Supply in Eugene OR. Phone 541-746-9092. They will mail them to you.
I got longer arms for my mirrors there and they had several mirror heads.

I had the same problem, got new bases and arms from Velvac. In one year they started blistering again and my coach is stored in a garage! I found a metal plating company that has stripped and re-chrome plated them, so time will tell. Plating is cheaper than new ones! Michael
