There have been several posts recommending the 4 point weight to determine correct tire pressure. Has anyone come across a place to have this done other than rallys and other similiar get togethers? We are full timing so any locations around the country would be appreciated.

Hi Tony,

If you look at the Toyo tire specs - they take you through a 6 point weighing with appropiate formulas - front, all, back, left front, left side and left rear.

Tony,

If you end up in the So Cal area (Escondido) there is a scale in town that you can get that done at. Let me know and I can give you directions.

In the state of Oregon, the truck scales run by ODOT typically are operational when the scales are closed. If you can find one that has the space to do it, often you can drive just one wheel at a time onto the scale to get the load on that wheel. That's what we did on the road between I-5 and Donald, OR. There are two scales there, one in each direction, and they are seldom open to check truckers.

In Eugene, OR, Bekins Moving Van will weigh the coach. A couple of years ago it as $10. Other moving vans companies might do the same.

Hi Michael:

Where is the scale in Escondido that can do a 4-point weigh? I live in Carlsbad and would like to have that done.
