Hi all, I am in need of a 10k-12k rated hitch for a 2000 36' Intrigue. the coach came with a 7k hitch. My selling dealer states today that they don't make one for a DynoMax chassis?? does anyone have one or know of a correct part number and manufacturer?? thanx, JH

HI JH,
I confirmed the following:
CC Hitch #16795, MGTW 7000#, MTW 600# I may have overgrossed the hitch on ocassion! Now if you look at the hitch, beefing up in certain areas would be easy; what is not easy is increasing the thickness of the hitch throat. Try googling '100000# trailer hitch' Fred Kovol

[Country-Coach-Owners] Re: trailer hitch Fred,
Isn't 100 thousand pound a slight overkill?

Sorry - one too many zeros - 10,000psi.

It is not only the hitch that is rated for 7k lbs, your chassis is also included in that rating equation.

I believe my chassis to be rated at 40,200 GCWR. It is 33,200 GVRW. Right now it weghs 28,750 by itself.. I have the hitch/chassis uprate thing figured out now.
