What you don't get is local programming but in lieu of tha you can opt for East/West feeds

We have the Dish 500 system with the second receiver which is used for the MH. We also have our locals on our system for $4.99 monthly.
We are pleased with the Dish system. Direct could not meet our specs.
I use a dish with the tripod. CW has a signal meter for $35.99 Stock # 14067 on page 71 of their summer catolog. My wife says this meter does a good job since she does not have to yell to let me know when the signal arrives. Saw a rver using the walkie talkies to set-up his dish. At least they were not YELLING so loud. Seemed like a good idea.

WE JUST LEARNED AND HAVE ORDERED THE DISH 500 SYSTEM. INCLUDES TWO ANTENNAE, ONE RECIEVER WITH A 35mb HARD DRIVE. IT RECORDS UP TO 35 HOURS OF SHOW AND THERE IS NO SUBSCRIPTION for the drive. WE CAN MOVE THE RECIEVER INTO THE HOUSE WHEN WE ARE HOME. we purchase the hardware for $580 and get the favorite 100 channels for a one year commitment at 9 bucks a month.looking forward to it....
