One thing I forgot to mention. When I installed my VMS in my 99, the plug was not the same. I talked to tech. support. They advised that you had to tap the wires on older models such as mine. It works fine. There is plus (+) and a minus (-) and they are clearly marked.
Another caution: When tapping a power/light source under the dash, don't use any line that has a rheostat in line such as dash board lights. It's best to take a dedicated line off from the fuse box.

Thanks, Larry, I will look into this. Oliver, my '99 has the electronic engine. I believe that 99 was the first year.

Thanks,

I just came back from the Allison dealer from reprogramming my Pac Brake point up from third to forth. Wouold the VMS allow me to do such programming by myself oin a 2005 Inspire?

No, it is just a monitor.
