Hi Folks,

When using tie wraps, I learned a technique from the experimental aircraft builders - use 3 tie wraps to prevent vibration from causing further damage. It goes like this. One tie wrap around the item you want to secure with a 2nd loop through it; this 2nd loop connects through the 3rd tie wrap that is tied to a structure. The 2nd loop is left with a 1 or 2 inch slack to remove transfer of vibration.
Sometimes it's better to have no slack in the middle loop based on observation.
