I have been talked into going up into the cold mountains (Big Bear) for a couple of days. I see that the overnight lows are running in the teens.
Daytime highs will be in the mid 40's.
What do I need to do to make sure I don't have problems ?? What systems can I use and what systems not to use ?? Anything I need to especially monitor ?? This will be the first time I have used the coach in weather this cold.

Michael: There's been extensive coverage of the winter camping issue earlier on this site. Maybe the best thing to do would be to scan the Yahoo message board and glean what you can from previous participants.
Basically, these machines are built for such conditions as you describe. Keep your furnace thermostat on and the heat will be directed to the bays to prevent freezing. Insulate your water supply hose or put it away at night, that sort of thing.

Hi All,
We are looking for some ideas on where to camp in Feb - Mar. We would like to spend sometime in the four corners region. (Moab, Keyenta, Shiprock). We have camped there before at that time of year so we are aware of the temperatures. While we don't mind campgrounds we would prefer to boondock for up to a week at a time. We like hiking, photography and just siting admiring the views.
Any suggestions are welcome. As long as it is legal and safe and with access for a 40ft rig.

Bruce Quartzsite Az is ideal boondocking for the end of Jan thru lst 2 weeks or so of Feb. Lots of free BLM land. etc.
