We love ours, simple systems like a forced air furnace no heated floors no complicated systems.

Hello Bob V,

I have 2006 Inspire 360 DaVinci - 40 foot.... and LOVE IT!!! I am not sure how the Genoa differs from the DaVinci, but I live full time in my coach and absolutely love it - its large enough to be roomy, but very cozy...
I really wished I had the heated floors and Aqua Hot until I saw a friend of mine with an Intrigue that had those things --- and saw how many times the RV repair guy was there!! Then I was perfectly fine with my cold floors that I throw a cozy rug on to solve that - and with me being a first timer to this motorhome life style, I am most grateful for simple systems........
I remember telling a salesperson when looking for my motorhome that I wanted an electric toilet, wanted this, wanted that, and he told me the best thing I can do for myself if to go "basic" --- less things to break and less things to need repair and break when you least expect it... jan

Bob,

I agree with Jan regarding the Inspire. We have a 2005 and have been full timing for 4-1/2 years. The main differences between the Geona and the Inspire is the Da Vinci has the 2 vanities and the washer/dryer is in a different location. We have the Da Vinci and love it. Theses coaches have all the basics and great storage. We have looked at newer models and would not trade for any of them. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles, these do not have them, however, if you need a great livable coach the Inspire is great.
Just one persons opinion.

We have been fulltiming in an 05 Inspire for 2 years now. And we love it. Have been to many RV shows and seen many more new coaches. Conclusion, the newer coaches do not have anything that we don't have. We have had a few glitches, but even the newer models no matter what the price will have them also.

We've driven our '05 Inspire DaVinci over 50,000 miles in the last 4 1/2 years and couldn't agree more with these posts. Relatively simple systems compared to many others but that translates to less and more easily solved problems.

Walt Not sure what's complicated about heated floors. Once you have had them, you wouldn't be without. No moving parts and the RV resort pays for the heat. No brainer !!

Personally, I really regret not having an electric toilet, especially when dry camping and not going through gallons of water every time I flush the thing.
We all carry lots of water, right? Besides, gravity is way overrated.

A wise engineer( Mr Scott from Startrek) was speaking about complicated systems and had uttered these words. " THE MORE COMPLICATED THE PLUMBING THE EASIER IT IS TO STOP UP THE DRAIN" I believe in the K.I.S.S. method. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Jan,

While some of the goodies on the later coaches seem to fall into the category you raise, I have Nu-Heat floor heat working perfectly for ten years now. It is pretty simple. Would never want a coach without it. I think CC switched to some other brand later on. Pretty much same with my Hurricane once fuel pump was replaced. Aqua Hots seems much less reliable.

My Aqua Hot can be a PIA, but I wouldn't be without the electric floor heat. Unless it gets real cold, our floor heat keeps the motorhome pretty warm. Can't remember the name of the brand, but it has "Gold" in it.

Aqua-Hot 600 I have sure is not quiet! The heat exchanger fans are very noise and Aqua-Hot said you can only replace the whole exchanger with new ones. Hot water is great though. Floor heat is all we need most of the time.

Country Coach did not use Aqua-hots heat exchangers most of the time. Magnas and Affinities usually had a choice of selecting two speeds from the fans via the thermo-stat. My coach has fans wired for three speeds and I have to manually select which speed I use. I have the bed room and bath set on low, while the kitten unit is normally set medium, with the one located under the front dash is set on high. In very cold weather I put insulation inside the front windshield and inside my over the Bed window. This cuts the cycling in half. If the wind is blowing I pull in the front slides at night. With the floor heat running at 96 degrees, I can further reduce the cycling in the bedroom, to where the blowers in the rear do not cycle at all until the outside temp drops below 10 degrees, with the inside temp up front set at 70 deg and the bedroom set at 68 deg. Thanks to everyone for your impute on 2004 Country Coach Inspire Genoa 40'. I have looked at the coach and I did not realize the ceiling was not 7 foot high. I am 6' 6" tall; do any of the Country Coaches come with 7-foot ceilings?

Thanks

Hello to all. DW and I are joining th RV world after living/cruising on our trawler for the past 10 yrs. We've found a cherry 40' Magna (Fanfare) with one slide in Fl. Stored in heated storage, 112,000 miles. Wife loves it. My only concern is the motor. It has a Detroit (rebranded International I530HT). Researching it I've found its a very strong/reliable engine. Preferred for hopping up in the tractor pull crowd. Is this engine hard to get worked on?? I do my own maint, but wondering if parts are an issue.
Also what tires should I run? It has 295/70/22.5 on drive axle, and 275/75/22.5 on steer. Saw a thread on another about an early recall for undersized tires. Any info on that. Wondering if I could fit 315/80/22.5 on steer. The deal includes new tires so I need toake a decision on them soon. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
