On our way to Emerald Desert, Mid-December, on a vary narrow section of East Highway 110 our passenger side mirror clipped a Trucks mirror. I do not know how many of you have ever experienced trying to drive a motorhome without the passenger side mirror, but I can tell you it is almost impossible. Thus my question--Has anyone put side cameras on their coach or bought one with them? What are you thoughts- positive / negative? Cost to add them? It seems they would have been pretty useful when our mirror went out. Quite a harrowing experience.
However we went on to enjoy a wonderfull two weeks, 12/15-29, in lovely Emerald Desert Golf and RV Resort. While there we had our Coach detailed by Indian Wells RV Detail. They are teriffic! Regards,

I've had a little experience with the blind side camera. I changed my black/white rear camera for a color upgrade.
When I took it off, I decided to put it up in front of the door at about 5 feet height. It was a great idea but the black/white camera doesn't work well with the sun shining on the side of the coach.
Frankly, I will probably change it for a color camera/monitor because it's almost worthless compared to color. Sunlight washes it out most of the time. It works well when spotting little cars that hang along under the radar, along side.
