Larry,
I'm a salesman at Beaudry RV and I?ve seen a recent change in some of our new coaches. They are coming in with Goodyear tires. I asked some of my colleagues about the change. Word has it that Toyo is no longer producing the tire or tires needed to fulfill country coach?s order. Word also has it that toyo is no longer going to be producing RV tires period. They are refocusing concentration on the commercial market
This can be a positive to new purchasers, Goodyear tires are easily accessible. So if you have a problem with a tire on the road you will be able to replace it without replacing in some cases multiple tires.
I know this doesn?t do you any good if you own Tokyo ?s. I'm still waiting to get confirmation from our rep on the validity to the change, but all seems to be true.

I am scheduled to have the 6 tires on our Allure replace with Toyo M111 12R.22.5 nest Tuesday 9/6. After reading Larry's post,I called Les Schwab in Junction City I was told that Toyo is still supplying RV tires but may choose to limit the sizes it produces in the future.
Les Schwab is shipping Goodyear tires to CC for certain coaches but has a full warehouse of Toyos for them as well.
By the way the Goodyear tire is more expensive than Toyo.

I haven't been on this site for awhile but I have gone back a reviewed the exchanges concerning Toyo tires on our coaches. Today I have spoke with Herb in Technical Support at CCI, Jon Edwards at Les Schwab JC, and Nancy at the Toyo hotline in California. CCI and Les Schwab both see this as a "peeing contest" between CCI and Toyo. Toyo has taken the position that their tires are not in any way defective and the March 14 Service Bulliten applies only to fitments after March 14. Those of us with Toyos on are coaches are under warranty so long as we follow all infaltion and maintenance standards provided to us by CCI. I am running our 32' Allure with 120lbs in front and 110 lbs in the rear.
Les Schwab is still installing Toyo tires on non- Country Coach products.

Hey Fred, So what happens if we have a warranty problems with our New Toyos on our Old CC, if Toyo states they will not warranty Toyos on CC equipment? ? ? ? I'm with you. I like my rought riding Toyos, even though my speedo has been slow by 5% since I got our coach. If I could get a warranty rrom Toyo, I'd stay with Toyos.... This is our 1st Big Coach & My wife thinks the Rough Ride is just part of the situation with a "Bigger Class A Rig".. Lucky Me ! ! ! Don't tell any different..

Glen, It was 10:00 pm at night, raining 2 inches per hour and there was some Fool coming the opposite way with his headlights on BRIGHT. Not something I would have done just to test the strength on my Toyos.....
Happy Travels ! ! ! !

Being virgin CC owners, we are still mulling over the documentation.
We drove from Minnesota to Tucson, AZ and then back to MN in our new (used) 05' Intrigue LE 40' quad #11890.
One of the big issues that concern us is the tires. When we first saw the coach in AZ, I said yuk!, Toyo tires. The reason was that on our last unit I was going to change out the Michelin's and researched what brands would be a good replacement. I found out that the relatively inexpensive Toyo's are not really for RV's, they are made for over-the-road trucks (semi's). The reason is that they are made for many miles in a short period of time. They do not have the UV protection that RV tires need because they are meant to wear out before UV (sidewall) problems. They are also rougher riding than RV tires.
Therefore I purchased Goodyear G670's.
Since our CC purchase I have found out through this forum, U.S. Dept. of Transportation, NHTSA and Toyo that because of past failures and lack of info from CC that Toyo discontinued selling tires to CC in about 05'
Only two of our tires have the DOT facing out, one was manf. in the 7th week of 2004 and the other was the 13th week of 2003.
My question is, has anyone had any resolve dealing with CC to get comparable replacements for the Toyo's?
