John: I've been using my A-5 for about 6 weeks now, (snowbirds). At first the dew would interfere with the signal, but I spoke with the folks at the Trackvision booth in Quartzsite about it.
They recommended using 303. It's a UV protection that you can buy at Campingworld. I put it on and it immediately fixed the problem.
They specifically cautioned against using Rainex since it may damage the surface of the antenna.
As to the continual movement in the antenna, it appears to me that it only moves when the coach moves. When we are set up and lounging, it soon stops and remains stopped until someone comes in the door or moves the coach enough to cause the antenna to move off the signal a little bit.
We were in a couple of rain storms in Phoenix and lost the signal in heavy rain. Light rain didn't seem to bother it.
