Thanks

Hi Larry,
It may be a little early in the product deployment to have any accurate prediction as to battery life. We asked the same question and the best anyone could report is 4-5 years. We are test subjects on this one..

I have had mine for two years, both in motorhome and tow car. No malfunctions yet. System operates as advertised, and if the batteries last five years I will be a happy camper. I have spoken with people that have had four years and still work. However, I think I may be the only one that I know of that has not had some sort of problem. I think that may have something to do with the installer/programmer. I have rotated the tires on tow car, and changing positions has worked flawlessly.

The website advertises 5 years, but the product literature says 7 years. We'll see.

We have SmartTire I on our 2001 Intrigue. Have had them for 4 years during which time they have performed flawlessly. So far so good.
They did correctly help us find a leaky valve stem on 1-year-old tires, so they probably prevented a problem. They're still checking in.
We'll probably switch over to the II version (that can do the Jeep too) when we get new tires for all of them next year.
