Hello
I am looking for some powers sunshades for the windsheild and sides for driving. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of choices. Looked at Carefree and am wondering what the CC sunshades are like. We presently have the aviator type. Are the CC shades expensive (compared to Carefree)? Thanks for any input.

Larry...we just did a major overhaul of our 'front end' of our 2001 Intrigue (see the photos on the Photo page under "Davis Cabinet...") and decided to change over to the electric shades too. We bought ours via CC's Part's Dept. which were the "2005 Intrigue Electric Shades"...they are about 40" overall width and cost about $200 each (I'm out of the rig, so don't have the paperwork.). We had Davis Cab. install them with the major redo. We had them take out the fans which we never used and they found they could use that wiring for the shades. The fan knobs on the dash were replaced with nice black rocker switches (again from the CC Parts Dept.) Ask Steve Bartlett in the Parts Dept. to give you the same stuff he gave the McNeills for their redo...I bugged him enough he'll remember me! We love it.
(Will add the manual shade on the driver's side later...they didn't have anything in stock to fit it...Carrier and Sons said they could be ordered in several sizes.)
Good luck...

Our shades are black. They are the visors, not to be confused with new power shades that are going into rigs for viewing the plasma TVs, etc. better. These have a solid black fabric for about 10 inches, then a 'mesh' type of fabric for the next 10". They have a scissor-type of mechanism to keep them "solid." The ones CC uses come from a Canadian factory. We couldn't order them direct.
