Terry,
I have a 2000 Magna with a Webasto DBW 2010 furnace. But I think your Aqua-Hot has basically the same "guts" for the burner system. I am having some problems with mine and I watched Chris Snyder open it up to "clean" it off with some solvent and adjust the ignition electrodes with the little electrode "gap" adjuster device that is on the unit.
He wiped off the disc at the top of the head where the flame detection photocell is located. Then he took a wire brush and scrubbed the soot off of the combustion chamber. He caustioned me that this is particularly "bad soot" so make sure you are not wearing good clothes.
Take out the combustion chamber(we used a wet/dry vac to suck out the soot particles),clean the soot carefully from it an the combustion tube. Then check the combustion tube for cracks. This is a problem I have - a 2 inch crack and it is not cheap to replace, apparantly.
Handle the parts carefully as they are very fragile. Also do not tighten down the bolts too tightly or you will could damage it. Hand tight- but not overtight- know what I mean? Same goes for the ignigion electrodes if you have to adjust those.
I just saw him do this (but not change the fuel filters or nozzle...) so I hope it is helpful though it is not complete.
I have to have mine taken care of at JC when I am there for my service appointment.
Have fun!
