Hi, All. I'm sure this has been covered in the past but I sure can't find the topic.
I have a bad odor under the bath sink, usually during the use of the shower or the sink. Of course there is the vent under the sink but something must be plugged to cause gases to come into that area. I did check that the opening of the two vent pipe on the roof are open.
Any help on this subject??
Thanks for the help.

Larry,
If you have water in ALL your p-traps then the culprit is most likely the anti-siphen trap vent checkvalve. Mine is located behind the drawers in the bathroom about 2' above the floor level. It is black plastic & screws onto the 2' tall pipe. Mine was bad. No odor since I replaced it. I got mine from CC, but I believe they are available at Lowes or Home Depot.
The shower p-trap is not very deep due to room restrictions & I have found driving on bumpy roads can bounce the water out of the shower p-trap. We add water at our lunch break & this has helped this issue.
Hope this helps............

Try cleaning the trap under the sink....easy to do, but for regular fix, we pour a little borax, diluted in water, into each sink periodically. We haven't had the odor since doing that. We would only get the odor if we were boondocking and used the water sparingly which probably allowed the water in the traps to sour and cause the odor.
