At FMCA I saw other motorhomers using their on board compressor tanks to inflate their tires so I set up my 1998 Intrigue as soon as I returned home, but alas, even though my dash guage shows 120# I can't get 110# in my tires. Is this what you would expect or am I doing something wrong?

Bruce,
This has been discussed somewhere on this board before and I think those who have done it stated that they could get #120 with the engine running. If it's not here maybe I read it at another site. I haven't tried it myself but it seems feasible.

I've done up to 115 (haven't tried 120 but feel that I could). I set the engine idle up to about 1200 rpms

What kind of lash up are you using to get the air?

I screwed a nipple into the tank outlet, connected the 50'hose with a quick-connect to that nipple, used plumbers tape on all connections. My engine is idiling at about 800 rpm.

Thanks, Same here on the method but haven't needed over #110 in my tires so far and I think this pressure affords an ample "safety factor" for my coach.

I don't recall the size but all the eqiupment (quick connects and hose) was standart purchase at Home Depot.
