Our '05 Intrigue has an auxilliary air fitting (female quick coupling) in the compartment under the driver's feet. I tried to use it for the first time yesterday and none of my 3/8" male quick couplings would work. Is there something funny here or is it just that I can't overcome the 120 PSI of the system?

Bob:

You need the AMF LO CP 1 male fitting for that connection. CC has them and has provided them in the past.

Bob,

We have given up trying to use the coach air to air up our tires, takes to long to put 120 pounds in the front tires. We now carry a pancake compressor we purchased at Sears and we use the nozzle that Les Swab sells on the end of the hose. It works great.

I was actually trying to pump up the air in my toad. We woke up yesterday morning with a flat on the toad. It turned out to be the pressure sensing valve stem that Jeep puts on in 2005. The valve stem was loose.

Hi Bob, There are two, maybe three different standards of quick disconnects. They are not interchangeable so you may simply have the wrong brand of male fitting.

I don't remember what type mine was but I did purchase them at Napa auto supply.

Next time you go to the store check carefully. They often stock competing brands close together and it would be easy to pick up the wrong one.
