I am thinking of getting the Silverleaf cable and using it with my laptop. Our coach is a '99 Allure production date Oct. '98. If anyone has installed this on their coach, would appreciate any feedback on this. You can e-mail me at egons@... (egons@...).
Thanks in advance,
Egon

I installed the Silverleaf laptoop version in my 2003 Allure. I like it becasue it gives useful performance information about the engine and transmission. Data like turbo boost pressure, intake manifold temperature, instant and average MPG, etc, etc. It will also give you any fault codes in plain english (I don't think the non-laptop version will do this). My engine (ISL 370) doesn't transmit the exhaust gas tempurature, so I don't get that. However, I think the utility of intake manifold temperature may be just as good. You will get a cable that connects the plug under your dash to your laptop.
All electronic engines have this plug which must be located within 3 feet from the driver's chair. Mine is located in the area close to my right knee as I'm sitting in the seat. Good luck.
