I am considering buying a 2001 32ft CC Intrigue. What do I give up buy getting the shorter coach. Are there any floor plan options or was only one offered?

Rob,

Call or email CC Customer Service and they'll send you a photocopy of the brochure for that year. It will have the available floorplans, along with the usual information on features, etc.

We considered the 32', but since we were looking for older coaches that wouldn't have slideouts we opted instead for a 36'-er for the extra room. Our 1995 CC Intrigue replaced a 34' Monaco Windsor, and I can tell you that even the extra 2' really makes a difference. For one thing, the Intrigue has a full length queen bed, whereas the Windsor had a shorty. The extra ~6" makes a bigger difference than you might realize until you experience sleeping on the short one.

If you are thinking of getting a 32' coach with slides what you may most likely loose is significant inside storage (i.e., the overhead cabinets in the living room), and ourside storage that is less accessibe on the slideout side. Others on the forum who have them can may be able give you other shortcomings.

Good luck

I have a friend on the Open Roads Forum who test drove a 32-foot Intrigue. With the short wheelbase, it is not nearly as stable in windy conditions as a longer coach. Only you can decide if the floorplan works for you, but be advised you may need to park it in heavy winds. It has a marginal (some would say unacceptable) wheelbase-to-length ratio with resultant lack of stability. Otherwise, it should be a fine coach, with power to spare.
