If you need new batteries I suggest getting the best 8D lead acid you can find. I had AGM in my Intrigue and they went bad in 3 months. I had AGM in my current Allure and they went bad in 8 months. They will replace them free, but it is a hassle. I got my money back from CC and got lead acid and have not had a problem. I also know a person with an 05 Allure whose AGM went bad, and a person with a 2000 Affinity whose went bad.

FWIW, a friend bought a used Newell. It has a bunch of 6V golf cart batteries, installed as original equipment at the Newell factory.
Reportedly the new ones have the same setup.
