We are having a Girrard awning installed next week at the Girrard factory in San Clemente, CA. If anyone needs parts/awning for the ZipDee, let me know. The fabric is #4648, Taupe. Everything will be available or they will trash it.

We just left our awning on a tree in Utah. I have a 00 Magna, 40'. What kind of awning is yours as ours was a ZipDee also. I wonder if yours would fit ours? Our color was taupe. Thanks much Judith Holton 817-528-1516

Judith,

I don't know if our awning will fit a Magna or not. I think the ones on Magnas have the polished metal where ours is not. They do look alike so if the length is right they should fit. Maybe a call to CC would be in order. We were doing some measuring today and I think I remember measuring something like 19'6" or so.

Just curious...what kind of Girard awning are you having installed? Electric one? We had been told we couldn't retrofit our manual with an automatic awning, so am interested in knowing what you are replacing your ZipDee with.
Thanks..

Jan,

We just had a Carefree Mirage awning installed on our 99 Intrigue.
Tom Carrier at Carrier and Sons put it on. Has remote contol and we love it. Only difference between ours and a Girard is about $1000.
We went on Tom's recommendation and we love it.

Don't know who told you that. We are replacing the manual Zip Dee with electric Girards. We are getting separate awnings for the door and coach, both of which will operate from the same remote. The only thing is, the door awning will not close automatically with the wind sensor, only the main awning works off that.
