I'm building a new house with a pad for our CC. Builder asked me is the 50 amp service is 110 or 220 volts. I assume it is 110. Is that correct?

From your builder's perspective the 50 amp service is 220. There are two hot legs, one neutral leg, and one ground leg, thus the 4 pins on the plug. It looks just like an electric dryer connection.
The dryer pulls ampherage across the two hot legs and pulls only up to about 50amps at 220. There is very little ampherage flowing on the neutral as the two hot sides are out of phase and cancel each other. From your coach's perspective its two 110 volt legs, one from hot #1 to neutral and one from hot #2 to neutral. Your coach can pull up to 50 amps at 110 volts from each leg and its not necessarily balanced so there can be ampherage on the neutral wire.
If your builder assumes 110 volts he will install only 1 breaker and 2 wire with ground line and a plug that is not compatible with your coach or any other RV adapter. You need 220 connections with two 50 amp breakers, 3 wire with ground line, and a 50 amp 220 volt socket to match your coach plug.

Here is a link with complete wiring diagrams for a 50 amp circuit RV outlet installation.

When planning electrical circuits for our barn I tried to cover all the bases which included putting 50A outlets inside and one outside. I also added adjacent 110V outlets for utility purposes including block heater.

I ran cable coax from the house and also telephone line (not connected yet) in conduit.

It was impractical to install sewer at the barn so my plan is to use 'sewer solution' and hook up to a house sewer line clean out connection.

Thought I had all the bases covered but have now realized that many friends have 30A in their non CC units...........another change order?

Of course, if I make it to comfortable the friends may never leave!

Thanks for all the great responses. The web site is very good and the idea of adding the 30 amp as well is something to think about.
