When your C9 gets warranty repairs, ECU reprogram or high pressure pump replaced, watch for much black exhaust smoke.
We are now wishing we had watched & talked a bit more before leaving area of Memphis Cat Distributor. We like the increased power & quick off idle power but the smoke would likely blacken our white toad. Cat says engine should not ever blow black & please take to Cat service shop. I suppose fuel economy will be down in proportion to unburned fuel blowing from exhaust.

Again the Cat mechanic found error codes stored in ECU without any errors shown thru Silverleaf VMS200.

I do not see any black smoke, not even at start-up.

I too have been experiencing a LOT of black smoke from my C9; it also has the high pressure pump and several ECM "updates". Cat called me today with a promist to address week after next.
