We did Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons last year. I second the recommendation on Red Rock at West Yellowstone. The only place we could get in to do Yellowstone was the KOA at West Yellowstone. Stay away from this place. Complete chaos. They let thee kids run allover the place with no one supervising. Tried to use the pool one day.
You could walk from one end to the other on top of kids and never touch water. We were signed up for a week and left after 4 days. In Jackson Hole we stayed at the Virginian. Nothing fancy but while we were there we never saw anyone spend much time in the campground. To much to do day and nite. Have fun.
