While at camp CC for a couple of weeks recently I observed at least a half a dozen sewer hose incidents. Some people mbacked into the full hookup spots to dump while the other coaches were in service. This has always been acceptable practice and no one minded, after all we are all here for service and we all own CC's.The big difference this year was that on several occasions the dumper used the other persons hoses.I am particular about my hoses and carry separate hoses for different purposes. When at camp CC I only leave my drinking water hose and sewer hose connected.I never use my drinking water hose for anything else. It is a sad situation when you can't rely on fellow CCers to respect the property and rights of others. There was one instance where a coach owner was observed backing over all the sewer hose connections and when confronted by the owner said he did not do it and refused to pay for replacements.

I know no one on this forum would use anyone elses hoses, but I thought I would alert the group that not all campers/RVers are as considerate as we would expect. Macke 03 Magna#6277 (with new hoses)

While I agree with you ... folks aren't leaving the hoses connected while they're gone ... or do they? If so, sewage gas will vent all over the area, through the hose. The proper thing to do when you're gonna be gone is to disconnect both ends of the hose and close the CG sewer connection.
BTW ... I've seen boondockers lend their blue tote tanks to others so they can dump their black/grey tanks without moving their rigs. Ewww ... not me.
