We went to the FMCA rally yesterday as day pass attendees ($5.00 per).
This was our first time at this event. Our Oregon home is only twenty miles from the Fairgrounds so we elected not to take our coach over. This was a fortunate decision as our neighbors signed up for the rally several months ago and then at the last minute were told their camping spot for the duration of the rally would be a field four miles from the event and that there would be shuttle buses to take them back and forth!
There was so much traffic around Redmond that on the first day the shuttle buses were running late and our neighbors missed their first scheduled seminar.
Somewhere I heard that there would be six thousand RV's at this event. From my perspective that is too many people, cars and RV's. No doubt the vendors and restaurants love the event but it was not what I would consider a quality event for the customers.
We have signed up for the CC homecoming in Eugene. Much better value for money in my opinion.
