Has anyone out there changed the air filter for the 05 Inspire? When I look at the filter from below it looks like a sealed canister. The 04 and 06 inspires are different and they seem to drop out from below.
The owners manual for my coach mentions an air filter different from mine.

I have an '05 Inspire, 51178, air filter is sealed unit that must be replaced in its entirety, drops down when everything is released. I haven't replaced it yet, not enough mileage or vacuum to require it.

Bob,

Thanks, for the info. on your air cleaner. I also just found out that the unit is a sealed throw-away. I believe that Country Coach turned a 5 minute job into a 5 hour job at greater expense.
I live in Las Vegas, and the nearest place I found to buy one of these units is San Diego Marine. This type air cleaner makes a lot of sense on a boat, that doesn't get exposed to dusty campground conditions.
For Country Coach to bury this type air cleaner in the 05 Inspire was a disservice to its customers. They did correct the design in 06.
I don't need to change mine yet either, however I'm planning an Alaska trip and thought a spare air cleaner would be a good idea on the dusty roads way up north.
Thanks,

You are right, CC did us no favors on this one. I had mine replaced by Cashman Cat in Las Vegas. $131 for the filter and $115 labor (much of which required 2 men). They accuired the replacement air cleaner from Napa.
