Since we are now about to pull a trailer weighing about 7,000 lb, I'm considering changing to Transynd from Dexron at my next trans service.
The idea being to reduce trans temps at slower speeds, ala, navigating inner cities, which seems to be the only time the trans temp rises. I see no change in mountainous country pulling 4,000 lb.
Has anyone done this change over and visually seen any improvement in gauge readings where you experienced higher temps before?
I'm sure the extra lubricity and longevity of the transynd is real, but this benefit is hard to measure and justify against the much higher dollar investment.
