I recently purchased an 01 40' Magna, #5991. It is equiped with an old Datron CruiseTV in-motion dish. It was hooked up to a DirectTV receiver and it appears that it requires a data port on the reciever to function. I am a subscriber to the Dish network and no such port exists on my recievers. Is their anyone out there that uses the Datron with a Dish reciever? If so can you provide me any info, or point me to somehwere that I can find it (I cannot find anything on the net). If it cannot be done then I will purchase a new dish, making the Datron available free of charge to anyone interested.
Thanks,
Randy Fox

Randy,
We just got our Datron In-motion dish activated. Like your, it was a Direct TV service. We called Direct TV and after several trys got connected to the Service Dept.'s Card Access Dept. They overnighted me an access card for $20. After I installed the card, I called them again and got them to turn on the card. It now works fine. You may want to try your current satellite program provider to see if they can send you an access card and add it to your bill. They will need to know the Make, Model and Ser.# of your receiver. My Sony does not use the Data Port either.
Good luck, if you need pnone #, let me know.
