Yes, there are several issues that apply to coaches and trucks.
1. It is less expensive to fix it at home than on the road.
2. Your brakes need to stop 30K 45K lbs.
3. Your leveling system works on air.
4. Clean dry air is the standard.
Replacement of the Air Dryer should be treated like other fluid filters, on a regular basis.

I don't think anyone disagrees with a "regular" basis. I think the issue is getting a straight answer on how often "regular basis" is.
My biggest issue with becoming a motorhome owner is trying get the straight scoop on how often things need to be serviced. I never get the same answer twice. After talking to CAT and finding out that their recommendation for the oil change was not what was in the CC maintenance schedule, I've had to question almost everything about the CC published maintenance schedule. So how often do you change your air dryer on a "regular basis"?

Thanks for the reply and your question. I understand your frustration. I have had many questions of CC and so far they have helped but, it comes down to us owners have to do what is prudent.
For me, I do it for "peace of mind". That is, not breaking down on the road even with CSP and Emergency Road Service. If you have a major failure Cummins or Cat will analize the oil and determine what happen. An article in FMCA pointed me to have the oil analized to get a base reading.
Regular basis may be 25000 miles or annual for oil change. Other fluids can go longer like coolant and Transmission. Air Dryer could go 36 months 30K miles which ever occurs first, but don't quote me because I am no expert. This months FMCA has a good article on air brakes to read and study. That, I think, is what owners have to do, read, study, ask questions and talk to other owners to get their experiences. We all are in the same boat.
