Just found that the top of our Splendide 2000 washer dryer is tilted backwards over 5" leaving the machine unusable. After removing the heater duct below the machine, it appears that the horizontal cleats on both walls, that support the subfloor/platform, have pulled away from the wall. The staples did not hold. It appears that no vertical cleats were installed to support the horizontal ones to support the load of the machine. The underside of the platform does not show any water damage. It appears that it was just a poor design or forgotten fabrication. Hard to believe CC felt that 3/4" horizontal cleats, stapled to the wall, would withstand the rock & roll of traveling down the road. Especially, California roads.
It's obvious that the machine needs to be pulled and the subfloor properly reconstructed.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did CC get involved with fixing the problem and/or offer financial help?
I would also suggest to those with similar coaches to ours, to pull the heater grill and see for them selfs, if there are vertical cleats supporting the horizontal cleats. If not, you might want to get them installed.
