To members of the forum:
Yesterday I wrote a sarcastic message (on the forum) to Dr. Tom Sims, who had inadvertently gotten involved in some forum bickering as the result of an informative message he had previously sent to the forum.
Tom Sims is a good friend, and a neighbor of mine in the winter.
My message was meant to razz him for the fact that his message had taken on a life of its own. I'm sure he understood my message, although he may not have seen it yet, as he is on the road. However, as I reread it, it's obvious to me how easy it would have been to take it seriously, and for that I apologize. Instead of humorizing the situation, I extended the bickering. It was not my intention, and many Country Coachers who have known me over the 16 years I've been driving the brand would have recognized the tenor of my writing. Those who don't know me could easily have been offended.
I should have sent the message to him personally, and not sent it by way of the CC forum. Once again, my sincerest apologies.

Tom, Your apology is a good reason why this is a GREAT forum. This group is made up of some very good people (like yourself) that are sensitive to others and realize that we all intend to use the CCI/Yahoo group as a benefit to all.

Lord forbid I open my mouth again on this subject, but OUCH! I can't let this go on without one final comment (from me at least) about my initial response praising various vendors who gave me good service and subsequent remarks (on the Forum) from Tom Cullen.
First - I'm old, have more experience dealing with people's personalities than you want to know, and I have very thick skin. You need thick skin when you're my age, wear an earring and recently had a ponytail nearly down to the waist. I also know how to take a joke when one is directed towards me.
Tom Cullen IS a friend and a winter neighbor. He is also smart (too smart to get on my bad side >) and a fellow writer endowed with excellent talent and sharp wit. I interpreted Tom's response to my post as razzing from one jokester to another and that is it. Tom was trying to make a point and I think he did that in spades. Tom - if you're reading this, I got it.
No foul.
That said, I'd really like to express my appreciation to the many people who sent me "private" emails and who made postings on this forum supporting my post and expressing that they did "get" what I was driving at. Thank you all. And to those who really did take offense - sorry, but none was expressed or intended.
Final note then - please read my initial post again. There was no criticism of CC service or anyone else in it. My post was simply done in the spirit of this forum - to give suggestions and advice to fellow Country Coach owners. Persons reading anything more into the post than that clearly have their own agenda, an agenda they haven't dealt with (probably with Country Coach), and that spurred all the negative darts thrown my way. My advice to them likewise remains the same; deal with it. Work on it and get it solved.
Finally, I rest on my final post, which is advice to chill, relax and enjoy the lifestyle that drove us into Country Coach ownership in the first place.
We have great coaches, a company filled with people that have, in the past, and will continue in the future, to stand behind their product, and we are fortunate beyond belief to be where we are today.
Safe travels!
Tom Sims

Hi Tom ...
Late in picking up Forum messages .... but just read your response to some Forum 'conversation' between you, the Forum, and the other Tom (Cullen). Whatever it was, your response was well said ..... and knowing both you and the other Tom .... hopefully understood (correctly) by all who know you well.
We miss seeing you ... and look fprward to seeing you and Pat in the Desert soon.
