We own a 330 Inspire (2005). Having trouble with the center pull down strap on the extension awning over the slide out. Is there an easy way to get at the straps; both awning straps seemed to have receded on the port side. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Charlie and Melody,

If your slide awnings are the same as mine on the 2005 Intrigue, which I suspect they are, you need to make sure that each time you extend the slide you pull the awning strap out to its full extension so it will not retract inside the awning cover. I had the same problem when I first got my coach.

To get the strap back out of the awning cover you need to get a ladder and thread it back thru the hole in the awning cover.

Since I started making sure the strap was fully extended each time I extended the slide, they have never gotten pulled inside

If you can get the awning extended the strap is easy to find and re-thread. One end fits into a slot in the awning roller just like any other awning strap. Our straps have a rubber spool sewed into a loop on the end which makes it difficult for it to disappear. The spools used to thump against the coach until CC installed the "spool holders" that they had neglected to install at build time. Like Kevin I always make sure the straps are fully extended before retracting the slides.

I had the same problem with the strap. CC service installed a little zoobie (technical term) that looks like a thread spool onto the end of the strap - it fit in the loop at the end of the strap. That stops the strap from disappearing into that hole. You might be able to get one of those zoobies/spool-appearing thingys (another technical term) by calling CC parts.

Since I was there for warranty work, the CC techs got the strap out for me so no help here on how to get it working properly.

If you get the zoobie, also get the zoobie holders. They slide into the slot in the awning cover and hold the zoobie so it doesn't bang against the coach.

Thanks friends for all the advice regarding the application of Buskote. It seemed to go on without a hitch. I appreciate all the help. My next question is with the awnings. My 05 Inspire has Carefree of Colorado Awnings, both over the door and the kitchen slide. When ever I try to activate one of them a fuse in the panel box blows. I have taken apart the electronic cabinet above the door and everything seems to be tight and intact. Any ideas? The awnings did work when I picked up the coach in Texas but hasn't work since shortly after that. One other question is does anyone know if the floor tiles are still available? I have about 6 broken tiles in front of the fridge.

Thanks a million
