This is our third Splendide Washer/dryer, we've used it 4 times and it blew out. two banging noisez and burning smell. It's a 2100 we had put in only one year ago, used 4 times and it blew out. Have any of you had problems with your Splendides? What's the answer?

Some of our friends with our SOB's have had trouble too. Then we use ours all the time and have had no trouble at all (now watch me jink it). Could there be something else causing it to fry? (elect. short etc.)

Good luck,
CCM

When we had problems with our Splendid we called Splendid's phone number and talked to Lad Moose. He had us take the washer out (it is a tight fit) and call him back in an hour and he lead us right through and we started checking stuff. The first thing my husband checked was the printed circuit board and it had a burned out plug. Lad sent us the parts free ($285 worth) and in a few days we got the parts called Lad back and he walked us through putting in the new plug and it has been working fine ever since. I loved the support..

Thanks for your message, searched the owners website and didn't find too many problems with W/D. I just can't understand this...maybe it's time to eliminate it and go to a nice storage space. Will check with Splendide to see if they have any ideas. It's a "bug" that's really bugging us.

Call Westland Sales' (Splendide) 800 number and ask for Mike Hamilton at extension #27. Or, call Terry at Westland's Elkhart facility at 574-295-8848. Either one of them have always been able to troubleshoot and assist with any problem.
