I bought some new VelVac mirrors at the class reunion and am looking to install them and the only way I can see getting to the area inside for the mounting bolts is to remove the dash top. Has anyone done that task and if so what is involved.

Thanks

Jack, I watched techs replace my driver's side mirror, and they did remove the dash top. It wasn't a really difficult job on that side, but I don't know about the passenger side procedure.

Thanks Walt, I was sure the dash top would have to be removed just needed to confirm it. The drivers side is the problem, from below you can only see one bolt and can't reach that unless your arms are five feet long.
