We would like to go to Mexico with a caravan tour. I would like info on three companies, Adventure Caravans, Fantasy Tours and Tracks RV.
Has anyone used them? What were your experiences, would you repeat your decision again? Has anyone taken a tour with more than one of these companies, and will you share your comparisons with me? We want to do a Baja, a Yucatan and something to see the ruins and pyramids.
We have a 40 foot Allure 470, should we take our tow car? Thanks Dick and Michelle Bain

We have been to copper canyon with ADVENTURE CARAVANS. THEY WERE GREAT. Wonderful trip. Do not confuse with ADVENTURE TOURS out of McAllen, TX. The worst experience of our life.

Thank you, Yes the companyis Adventure Caravans. One additional question. I understand you can not put out your slides while on the train. Is this an issue...............................................

I am not recommending the tracks, train to copper canyon. The tour that we had that was so great, went by road to El Fuerte, parked the rigs, boarded a train to the mountain. This is the way to go.

We were thinking of taking the Copper Canyon trip, and since we have dogs, were considering the flat car approach. But I have heard that the tree limbs along the tracks can scratch the coach. Is that true? Any other negatives?

We worked a booth at the FMCA Minot rally for Mexican Adventures Tours, we have never taken one ourselves yet, but plan to in the near future. While working the booth we had quite a few people tell us that they had already been on a tour with this company, and how much they enjoyed it.
They are about 20% less expensive than the other companies, and you have the same train, same Copper Canyon, and the same tourist spots and restaurants, and you are living in the same coach.
The owners of the company are Mexican, and the guides are from the Mexican Government Tourist dept, but your wagonmaster will be an American national who knows RV travel. This is their homeland and they claim to be able to show you a good time better than anyone else.

When going into Mexico, make sure you have the appropriate insurance (normal American insurance does not extend there) and absolutely no guns or even ammunition.
