HI,
I am traveling from a campground in NJ across from Philly to Cherry HIll Park in College Park, MD just outside of DC. Does anyone have any suggestions about the best route around Baltimore and to College Park? I am driving on Sunday.
I am concerned about tunnels around Baltimore and just taking 95 straight through. I understand no propane is allowed so I don't think I can go that way.
Will someone experienced with that route be so kind as to tell me the best route?
Thanks!

Thanks Dave. Would that be the Rt 695 route around Baltimore?

If you were going up I-95 from Florida when you get to the Baltimore area you want to take I-695 west not east. If you go east you will have tolls to the tune of $35.00 I think it was (4 axels - towing a car). The locals told me I should have taken I-695 west around the city instead to avoid the tolls. I would think that going southbound you would still want to go I-695 west for the same reason.

Yep you're right. Not $35. Husband said it was $24 or $25 but we went through two tolls so it must have been more than just the Key bridge. The first one was $6 like you said and the second one was the really expensive one. We continued on to I-95 to exit 100 so it was somewhere between the Key bridge and there.
I haven't looked at a map to see how much further I-695 west would be. That was just what the locals said I should have done. You might be right that it is cheaper to pay the tolls than pay for the gas/added mileage.
