Help please,
I had the MH outside night before last when the temperature dropped below freezing.
The refrigerator was switched off.
Today when I turned on the water pump, water started pouring out of the outside grill cover behind the refrigerator.
Took the cover off and discovered water was coming from what appears to be a control of some kind for the ice maker on the right hand side. When I turned off the water supply on the left hand side of the opening the running water stopped so it appears I have isolated the problem.
Has anyone had this problem and fixed it?
Thanks, David

David,
Because your outside temperature got low enough, your icemaker water solenoid may have froze and split. Or, the hose to the supply side of the solenoid split. You must have had a real hard freeze, or a series of cold nights.
It is not uncommon for the hose going to the icemaker from the solenoid to split over time. But, if your refrig was off, this is probably not the case.
If you look to the right, you will see that there is foil covering the solenoid, and the supply after the solenoid is wrapped in a rubber tubing with a wire. This is a heater to keep things from freezing. I think this adds to the premature failure of the plastic tubing. If all your power was off, so was your heater. Irrespective, there is no freeze protection from your shutoff to the solenoid, anyway.
Cover the backside of the refrig vent with cardboard to keep the cold out until you can winterize, or go to a warmer climate. I need to winterize, too, but I would like the warmer climate.

Hi David
I also froze my solenoid. I called Dometic and they sent me a new solenoid FREE.
It only took a couple of minutes to replace.
