Having had to replace both windshields I opted to apply Diamon-fusion while the glass was pristine. The process was interesting yet quite simple. One would probably not have to shop for a very experienced shop to do this although, of course, they must have the necessary equipment to do the job. Upon returning home several bugs tried to make love with my windshield and thus met their ultimate fate. Removal was a breeze, but then they were still freshly juiced. Time will tell if the investment was worthwhile. A four year warranty against chips and cracks comes with the deal.

To those of you who have had Diamond-Fusion done....
Has anyone mentioned to you the need to have maintenance on your Diamond-Fusion performed to keep it functioning properly?
I'm considering the process and never heard about this maintenance. Then, at FMCA a dealer for the procedure mentioned there is a home application progress that should be done (I believe every 6 months but not certain of the intervals) in order to keep the Diamond-Fusion doing what it's supposed to do.
I think this is an important question to have answered and would appreciate replies.
